Returning To Church, The Quiet Revival.

In a new report commissioned by the Bible Society, it shows that Church attendances have risen by 50 per cent over the last six years, busting the myth of a Church decline.  They are calling it the “Quiet Revival” with the most dramatic Church growth amongst young adults, particularly young men from the age of nineteen, now called Generation X.

Back in 2018 just 4 per cent of 18–24-year-olds said that they attended Church at least once a month, this has risen over the last few years to 16 per cent and has been labelled “The Quiet Revival”.  Nineteen percent of Church goers come from an ethnic minority, with close to half of young Black people aged 18–34 now attending Church at least once a month.  Confidence in the Bible has also increased alongside Church growth, with some 67% of Churchgoing Christians reading the Bible at least once a week.

One possible reason for such growth is that people are looking for meaning, with many of the population struggling with mental health, loneliness, and a loss of direction in life, The Church appears to be offering an answer.  There are several other valid reasons why Church attendances have grown including, welcoming young families and providing activities for the Children, inspirational Preaching, modern Worship Songs led by an enthusiastic Team of singers and musicians, and of course, the introduction of new Church Sound Systems, designed and installed by a team of sound and vision experts such as https://apicommunications.co.uk/audio-visual-services/church/sound-systems.
